CAD/CAM blocks and discs are pre-fabricated milling blanks — zirconia, lithium disilicate, PMMA, composite, and wax — used in subtractive manufacturing to produce crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and denture components. After a restoration is digitally designed from an intraoral or lab scan, the milling unit cuts the shape directly from the block, which is then sintered, crystallized, stained, or polished depending on the material.
