CAD/CAM Milling Units

CAD/CAM milling units are subtractive manufacturing machines that carve restorations from solid blocks or discs according to a digital design file, using multi-axis spindles and rotating burs. Available as wet mills for zirconia and glass-ceramics or dry mills for PMMA and wax, they range from chairside systems for same-day restorations to higher-capacity lab units producing multiple units per run. Milling is the fabrication step that follows digital design in the CAD/CAM workflow, translating a virtual crown, bridge, or framework into a precisely fitting physical restoration ready for finishing, sintering, or staining.
