Deflasking Units
Deflasking units are tools and workstations used to open cured denture flasks and recover the finished acrylic prosthesis after the curing cycle is complete. This step follows acrylic curing and precedes finishing and polishing in the conventional denture workflow, and requires careful separation of the flask halves and investment or plaster to avoid damaging the denture base or dislodging artificial teeth. Proper deflasking technique protects the accuracy of the processed denture, since excessive force or improper tooling at this stage can introduce fractures or distortion that compromise fit and require costly remakes.
