Dental CAD/CAM Software
Dental CAD/CAM software is used to design restorations and appliances digitally from scanned patient data, converting an intraoral, facial, or model scan into a virtual model a technician or clinician can design on-screen. It supports crown, bridge, veneer, denture, implant restoration, and orthodontic appliance design, with tools for margin detection, occlusal contact analysis, and virtual articulation, before the finished design is exported as an STL or similar file for milling or 3D printing. As the design hub of the digital workflow, CAD/CAM software connects scanning hardware upstream to manufacturing equipment downstream.
