Dental Waxes
Dental waxes are formulated modeling, casting, sticky, boxing, and utility waxes used throughout the analog laboratory workflow for pattern fabrication, framework design, bite registration, and model preparation. Modeling waxes are carved or added incrementally to build crown, bridge, and partial denture framework patterns before investing and casting, while boxing and utility waxes prepare impressions for pouring and sticky wax temporarily joins components during try-in and soldering. Each wax type is formulated for a specific melting point, carving hardness, and burnout characteristic, making wax selection an important quality factor in conventional cast-metal and denture fabrication.
